The last of the series of photos. Part #parody. Part #trend. Part #reality. Scrub #fashion is a thing now, since the success of online direct-to-consumer #medical #attire companies, like Figs. #Jogger pants have been increasingly popular as scrub pants, mirroring the popularity of #athleisure fashion. I expect this trend to continue with surgical tops and caps as well. For fun, I coin the overall trend in athleisure-influenced scrubs as ATHLESCRUBS. It is a term that blends athleisure and scrubs. In other words, athletic-like clothing used in everyday #healthcare. Obviously not meant for surgical procedures or infectious disease/immunocompromised patients—at least not yet without modifications. But athlescrubs may be the trend of the future for better comfort and style in more outpatient/casual healthcare settings, like dental offices.
